WEEK 10:#23 Is this really the end? Or just the beginning........

This was a rocky,frustrating,yet fun journey at times. I'm kind of sad to see the classes come to the end. I've really enjoyed learning how to do differnet things and showing others how things went. I must admit there were several times I was going to give up. I just couldn't because I had somthing to prove (to myself). I really enjoyed all of the exercises in one way or another. I think that library thing was my favorite. I really enjoyed picking out all of the books I liked and putting them on my blog. I also liked the avatar exercise. I thought it was fun playing dress up. It reminded me of when I was little and I played paperdolls. I think I would really like it if we had something like this again. It made alot of us come together and help each other.

http://librivox.org/ I really like this site. I get audio books all the time. I was surprised to find many titles I had waited weeks to get through Ill. I think now I will use http://librivox.org/. I guess now I will be downloading alot of things. I was also impressed with the music selections. It was nice to be able to listen to many of them. Ok this took a bit of time. I just could not find any podcast that I liked. I was looking for Urban Fiction and didn't pull anything up. I finally found something I was kind of into. However I did find alot of things on different foods and resturants I liked. I think I liked the food podcast the most because it had pic's.

WEEK9: #20 YOUTUBE

Sorry but I have tried 9 times(yes9) to post a "YouTube" video. I selected all of the text for the embedded player and copied it. I keep getting a blank screen when I post to my blog. I really hate that because I found the neatest video called Spinner Dolphins Underwater. I even setup a account with YouTube, but it still would not post. I was however able to add a page element using YouTube and post but not where I wanted(off to the side). I like http://www.youtube.com/ because it helps sometimes if you need to see something over and over. I actually used it to teach my niece how to tie her shoes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mA_A8tAZ6E. 2 bad it won't post. I tried.

Week 8 #19 Web-based Apps

I set up a free account with http://sheet.zoho.com/login.jsp?logout=true. However I don't think I will be using it as of now. I don't have any documents to work on. I did play around on it though. I just don't have a reason at this time for it's use. I'm sure when school starts it will.

Week 8 #18 Social Networking: Making friends in the comfort of your own home.

I really enjoyed networking with people. I like talking with people who have the same interest that I do and I don't have to find out
later I wasted my time and they hate cats or dogs and they were just entertaining me. I
set up a account to network with people who like cats and in a matter of seconds I was able to email with hundreds of people. I guess this is the way the universe looks with all of the networking that is going on.

Week 7: Thought on Technology.

If I were to picture technology then I think I would have to go with this one. It reminds me of all the gadgets in my house and how they would look going out into the universe. I posted a few coments on other blogs about what technology meant to them and it was funny how close we all were about how we felt.

Week 7 #17 Blog about Technology

Technology.......... Oh what a mess when it doesn't feel like working. I really like that we have come so far with technology. The only thing is when it's down and out, it's down and out. I rely on my cell phone so much and sending text-messages that it's unbelievable. I have gone so far as to turn around on my way to Louisiana because I forgot my phone and just felt vulnerable.There was a time I would write down directions to any place I was going. Then I started to use the G.P.S. on my phone. Well you guessed it the phone was out of range one time and I was lost. I didn't have change to use a payphone without breaking my 20$ bill. So I turned around and went back home. It's really bad when you relay on something so bad and you are lost without it.

Week 7: #16 So what's in a wiki?

There just were not enough fiction for me so I had to work it out. I didn't have to edit anyones reviews because I thought they did the books justice. The other wiki sites didn't really do anything for me so I'm just going to stick with the bookslovers this go round.

Week 6 #15 Library 2.0 & Web 2.0

Taking all of the info in on 2.0 had my head spinning. I'm nervous about keeping up with all of the changes that are going to come even if we don't want them to. I thought I was scared when we first put computers in the library, but now I know we could not live without them. I thought this was going to only affect the librarians the most, however I was wrong it's going to get us all. I just can't believe all of the information that is out on computers now.

I joined Technonati and I was surprised at how many topics and blogs out there. You could really get hooked on this site and send hours just reading everyones opinion.

Week 16 #13 Tagging makes the web 2.0 world go round

I didn't know about tagging until a few weeks ago. I guess because I didn't have anything that really needed to be tagged. But as I started to read more about it. I guess it will save me alot of time. I found it nice just clicking on a tag and having it go straight to what I wanted. Oh and I have also tagged everyting that could possibly be tagged. I signed up with Library Elf and it was funny because not 20min later it sent me 3 emails to tell me something was overdue. I didn't think it would work that fast. And yes I knew the things were overdue. It was kind of embarrassing. 5min after that it sent a notice I had something on hold. Okkkkkkkkkkkk Elf enough already. You were definitely right about the Elf letting you know when your things are late:)

When I started putting together the books I've read I could not believe it. It looks awesome to see many of the covers and to just click on a cover and read about the books. I couldn't stop adding books I was shooting for 100 books.
