Spring Cleaning # 30 Take A Load Off Our Drives

I do not save files. So what I did in order to finish my exercise was to.
1.) go to my computer
2.)s drive
3.)I chose Nw folder
4.)I just picked Newsletter March 08
5.)save as text
6.)renamed it Newsletter Shan
7.)saved on s drive
8.)went back to s drive and deleted
After I got the hang of the exercise I think I did ok.
I then explored the z drive. I had to make up something because I had never gone into this drive. I combined a few old files then deleted them. I think I learned something about the different drives.

SPRING CLEANING #29 : EMAIL

I have decided to erase my e-mails as soon as I have read them and stop closing them out without deleting them. I just found out that was a no no. I am also going to make sure to purge my trash as soon as I delet my e-mails. I went from 106 to 30. That was 76 e-mails I didn't need. I also had several people in my address book who had changed their address 2 or 3 times. So I updated my address book. I made a few folders to put circ emails and high importance things in like mileage change forms or other things I would need to refer to in the future. This was a good exercise because it cleaned up alot of space in my email.

Spring Cleaning #28

I used ta-da-list to set up a onling to-do-list. I really like it because it seems to be able to help me to remember what I needed to take care of and on what day. I also set up a list to remind me what I needed to take on my weekend trip. I've never used anything like this before. I guess I still believe in the old fashion write it down in a date book. Overall I enjoyed seting it up.
